Change of IT solution? Just like moving your family
Imagine that you and your family suddenly have to move to another city in another country. This would dramatically change all the daily life habits of your family. It means new language, new house, new jobs, new schools, new routines and habits and new surroundings. This is approximately how it feels to the organization when you change your IT system.
GAVDI has conducted and been part of many SAP implementations. And is there one competence which we have learned to be crucial for the final success of an implementation, it is Change Management. And Change Management activities are both many and demanding. Therefore, GAVDI has chosen to build and include Change Management as a core competence of ours. We use our competence both as part of our Preparation and Implementation services. But we also offer this competence as Expert Consulting.

Being a SAP HCM specialist, the GAVDI competence has mainly been built and developed through a number of large HCM implementations and from our consultants with management consulting experince. But the skills and tools we are using for our HCM implementations are of general nature – and may be used also in other areas.

Stakeholder Management
No change is able to take place without the involvement and leadership of management and key persons. GAVDI has techniques and tools to identify the right stakeholders, to define their specific roles in the change process and help them to fulfil their roles.

The change process requires as much planning and involvement as the processes to make the new solution. And communication is an absolutely crucial task in Change Management. GAVDI has transformed our knowledge and experience in this area into a number of templates for these tasks.

Job Building
A major system change requires a rethinking of the roles in the organization. Both to be able to handle the new solution but also to improve the internal efficiency by obtaining the objectives of the Business Assessment. GAVDI has a thorough experience in designing new organizations along with new solutions.

People Change &
Training
The employees in the organization need to be prepared to handle the new solution as well as their new roles. GAVDI has substantial experience in the area of . But INIT also has built up a number of tools for the preparation of the employees on the change itself – the GAVDI Personal Change Tool.

Performance ManagementThe distinct objective of a change process is to achieve the targets set out by the Business Assessment – in other words to obtain the gains underlying the Business Case of the implementation. GAVDI has defined a model for transforming the Business Case targets into a post implementation performance set-up – thereby ensuring the also the more long-term targets of the change may be reached.
